Ducks and Geese Adopted
Here are photos of the ducks and geese that we have
placed in permanent homes so far. We love to hear from
their new families. If you have updated photos of a duck
or goose you have adopted from us, or a story to share
about them, please email us, so we can update this page
for you.

Sophie is a Pekin hen. She was surrendered to us
after her living situation changed. Sophie is a sweet
and shy girl who is approximately two years old. She was
adopted to wonderful family with a flock of Pekins to
improve the ratio of drakes to hens.

Joven was rescued from a pond and delivered to us
for care. We are unsure how his wings, leg and head
wounds were received, but his rescuer believes some sort
of impact trauma occurred with a motor vehicle or bike.
He also came to us with severely swollen foot pads; the
worst case we have ever witnessed. Joven healed up
completely in our care except for a minor limp that did
not cause him any difficulty. Joven became extremely
friendly since coming to our sanctuary--a far cry from
the shy duck who came through our doors. He was well
reknown for giving gentle hugs to all of our sanctuary
guests. He would rest his head on our shoulders and sigh
contently. Joven was a sweet and happy boy, best friends
with Elijah.
Joven resided at Majestic for a year and was
subsequently granted retirement rights, not to be
adopted out. He spent his last days in our care, safe
and happy right up until the end before he died of
natural causes.

Dasher & Dancer came from an overcrowded home,
deprived of food and water. They came to us through
another shelter. Both girls recovered fully, became
quite friendly and were adopted out together by our
rescue volunteers.
