Go to Ducks
and Geese Adopted Page 54|
Tamara was rescued from a pond where she was abandoned with a few other ducks. The males there were really overwhelming her with their advances, which resulted in some severe feather loss and breakage on her neck and back.
In addition to severe weight loss from starvation and paraisites, Tamara also had bumblefoot callouses on the bottoms of her feet.
Once all fixed up, Tamara was adopted out with Tennille and Marshmallow and have begun their very own happy ever after together!
Tennille was rescued from a pond where she was abandoned with a few other ducks. The males there were beginning to overwhelm her with their advances, which resulted in some feather loss on her neck.
Although she tested positive for parasites, we were able to clear that up for her before sending her off ot her new forever home with Tamara and Marshmallow.
Marshmellow was abandoned in a drainage ditch in Plainfield, CT. We responded to a call from an ACO and went out and mucked our way through the water to get to her.
Even before she arrived at our sanctuary, we had a wonderful new home lined up for this beautiful girl. She joined Tamara and Tennille in their new forever home!
Stagger Lee walked right up to one of our rescuers while they were at a pond rescuing another duck. This handsome boy was eager to belong to someone, so he came to Majestic to stay with us to wait for his new forever family, which he found a few months later.
Today Stagger Lee lives with his new girlfriend with a barn and fenced in pen and yard.
