I cleaned the barn out on Sunday and Tony and I spread
sand around all the gates and ponds to soak up the muddy
patches. It is supposed to be freezing cold tonight, so
I unpacked the heated buckets from the barn loft and
filled them, carried them and plugged them all in. Every
pen is ready, so everyone will have drinking water
tonight and tomorrow.
Tony just got home from work and he is shutting down and
draining most of the aqua-duck-t pipes that feed all the
mini ponds, so that the pipes don't freeze and crack.
The only pipes that will pump water are those that
circulate the big pond to keep it from freezing over.
I hate winter... but I LOVE my Young Matthew! Look at
how handsome he is. He's seven and a half years old and
looking good! Momma's boy :)
