Rough day yesterday... Got a nice email from
Smidge's family reminding me not to let the
malcontents wear me down.

It's time to brush off and get back
to it and what better way than to go out and sit
with the ducks and geese for a while. They are my
best reminder of why we do this.

There's something special about Rilo's eyes... I could
pick him out of a crowd of a hundred, no trouble at
all...
Ahhh... now I feel better... Nothing like happy ducks
and geese to cheer a girl up!
I just realized we only have two sponsorship tubes left
and no more packs of mini crayons for them. Yipes! We
usually do about a dozen sponsorships between
Thanksgiving and the holidays, so I need to order some
supplies fast!
I think I'll go with 3 inch diameter tubes instead of 2
inch, that way I can fit some bigger goodies in the
tubes over the next year. I have some little duck
notebooks with watermarked pages that I bought and
donated to the sanctuary a couple years ago. They're
still down on the sponsorship shelves because they don't
fit in the current tubes. I also found some duck
paratroopers and some other ducky goodies. Hmmm... this
could be fun!
