Ashes of roses
Love falls in
feathers
And the path
that we’ve taken
We’ve followed
together
And too soon
it all ends
And my hands
are left bare
And the place
where I knew you
You’re no
longer there
Shade trees
and sunshine
Near flowers
in grass
The shine of
your soul
Still reflects
in the glass
Ashes of roses
Love falls
together
And I still
remember
The smell of
your feathers
